Am I out of line for believing the Lord often protects his daughters?

I had very low self esteem and histrionic disorder for most of my life which is a mental disorder where you need constant feedback and time from others and I’ve never been in an abusive relationship or slept with a guy I’m not married to. God protected me.

I know gorgeous girls that might be the best looking out of thousands of other girls and if they are religious, they are happy, nobody is stalking them or harassing them.

I also know 300 pound atheists that are targeted by stalkers and rapists who try to force them into relationships.

Would you ever stand by and watch as your daughter was raped and strangled to death in front of you?

If somebody asked you about it, would you tell them that you love your daughter? Do you think they would believe you if you did?

The simple fact that so many choir boys get sexually abused by priests proves God doesn't protect his own. How many wife beaters do it because they think they have a christian right?
It's easy to cherry-pick examples of people you think were protected or not but that's not evidence because it's easy to find opposite examples.

I’ve seen horrible things happen to religious people and irreligious people alike. There is nothing in the scriptures that says faithful people won’t have bad things happen to them.
