The question I'd like to ask is if you wanted to move to a different area how much thought, if any, would you give to the religious makeup of that area when choosing where to live?

I live in India where most people follow Hinduism. I’m not religious (atheist; don’t believe in God either), and I don’t mind it when people discuss their religion with me. I will respect them and their beliefs as long as they don’t try to shove it down my throat.
I’ve changed schools thrice, and my friends were of different religion (s). The high school I attended from year 10 to 12 was diverse with many Christians, Sikhs and Muslims. Never once did I reduce someone to just their religion. I try to see individuals for who they are, not the religion they follow.
One of my neighbors is Christian and we get along fairly well. So no, my neighbor’s religion is not important to me.
Provided I don't have to hear about whatever invisble friend in the sky that they have I couldn't give less of a fuck.
General rule of thumb I have when it comes to dealing with thiests is;
If they have learnt the lessons of goodwill and tolerance for their fellow man from their "book" then they will be a kind and respectful individul.
If they constantly feel the need to talk about "God" or pull a "holier than thou" routine then it is done for vain and selfish reasons.
My idea of what a realationship between Man and God should be is a father's guiding hand to help show their child a better path for life. Not a kid on the playground saying "my dad can beat up you're dad".
Also I'm athiest by the way.
I don't care about people's religious beliefs as long as the people are nice.
The only thing that would be a drag would be living in an urban area that is dominated by religious radicals, whether they be Orthodox Jews, Zionists, Salafist Muslims, or fanatical Christians. Such people tend to gravitate to communities of their own kind. They are bigoted, exclusionary, and don't assimilate.
I don't mind talking to people who want to discuss non Christian views but if they try to force me to share their view and way of life, I will ghost them.

So long as your peaceful and don't got a stick up your rear I don't really care about what one believes in so long as you don't go about being a prick simple as that. I've always lived with the mindset of if u come In peace I'll do the same. But bring war to my door step and there will be no mercy or glory. I'll make sure he only history you have is that you ceased to exist.
As long as people keep religious fanaticism as far as possible from me, I don't mind. Fanaticism is always proof of deep stupidity and/or political barely hidden agenda. Sometimes it's interesting to discuss constructively about religious convictions and the linked philosophies. Around my place there are many different communities and thus different religions. Many muslims and christians for instance, but generally speaking people here seem tolerant with each other.
I don't care as long as their religion (or lack their of) leaves me and my beliefs alone. If it can't? Like a religion that calls for death to the infidels? Then I do care and would want them to either change to something less destructive or to be arrested.
I don’t mind it tbh, as long as they don’t impose their belief on me, or insult my faith. I’m a Christian and I have had a few people who claimed they are “non religious”, yet tried to personal attack me.
As long as my neighbors don't invite me to whatever their religion is or tell me about how their god is better for me than whatever I'm doing, they can worship the flying spaghetti monster for all I care.
London has sharia patrols, islam ruins everything it touches, then there is terror as well.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/rcsG-u2GtZEMy specific neighbor's religion wouldn't be a consideration. I would want an area in which there was a place I could worship. But, more broadly, I might be concerned if I was in an area where I wouldn't be respected.
I don’t give a dang about others religion, just like they shouldn’t give a dang about mine. As long as we are neighbours, the only thing we gotta worry about is where they can put their fence.
There's community like stuff about a lotta religion. I'd like to live somewhere there is probably like a church somewhere not too far away, doesn't have to be neighbors but I'd rather not be the only person in the area.
Highly matters to me that they they have none, and lucky religion in England is dying. Hopefully within the next 10 years, Christians will be under 20% in my city.
I don't care about their beliefs unless they're serial cat killer satanists trying to kidnap and murder my cats
Not at all. We're surrounded by atheists, agnostics, Muslims, Sikhs, Jews and Baptists.
I don't think about religion at all, but I may say "may your god go with you"
From these charts, I find it better for me to avoid the area around Leeds :D
But then- l can always keep my home gates closed. So: as long as my neighbourhood isn't imposing their views on me, I' ll return the favour.
doesn't matter at all unless my neighbours were fanatics and pushy about it
and i've grown up surrounded by people from a lot of different religions so i don't care
I don't care, I'm not religious and will buy and scrap whatever comes my way be it gold crucifixes or silver Judaica
I’m Muslim and I have best friends who are Christians, Jews and non believers
it’s normal, everyone has his beliefs
Religion doesn’t bother me. Political stance, depending what country you are from, can be very telling of a families behavior.
It doesn't matter to me, and wouldn't matter as long as someone doesn't try to push her or his religion on me.
Only religion that raises much of a thought to me is Islam so I guess depending on the area I lived it'd be a non issue
It isn't. I've lived here for years and I don't know what his religion is, I don't really care either.
I don't know my neighbours' names, so I can't see why religion should matter.
As long as they're not trying to behead me for disagreeing I don't care.
I could care less as long as they're not forcing any of that on me
Pretty important as wouldn't want to live next to a nutty, opinionated atheist. .
Not really, except Muslims who tend to create problems when they are in numbers. But this is specifically a Muslim issue.
As long as you're peaceful, lawful, decent people and don't try to convert me, I don't give a shit what you practice or which God you pray to.
I don't care, as long as they don't try to push it on me.
Not at all. All religions are man-made bullshit.
As long as he is not sacrificing virgins during the full moon I am okay with it.
I couldn't care less is, who you are that matters to me
Who you are is* what matters
It depends. Do they have one of those religions that tell them to cut my head off if I don't join? Otherwise I don't care... unless they're Amish. I don't like thier smarmy beards.
Planning to move to Derry, so yeh, quite a lot!!!
I just love my neighbour as myself. I respect religions.
I appear to live in a Buddhist enclave, but I'm fairly Zen about it.
As long as their religion doesn't interfere with my life I don't really care what they practice
I don't care about religion.
No importance what so ever!
It's not important to me
Not at all unless they try to preach to me.
It really depends on what they do with it.
It's not. I don't care
I was very pleased when she said I'm Christian
