Yes. I am more spiritual than anything and really open minded to a lot of things. But I still have my boundaries on what I find to be disrespectful to my spiritual plane. (So if ur sacrificing kittens, I’m not really down for that) I have found that even though I am respectful towards people being super religious and having a one sided mind on what they believe, others do not respect the fact that I don’t share that notion. It always ends up being this challenge to try and convert me to their religion which gets annoying quick.

You need someone like you when it comes to spirituality (:
And you can manifest such encounter
I found that abundance is about letting go of the fear of scarcity
Live as if you already have what you want
This way you condition you energetic environment to flow in a certain manner that will manifest those things you desire
Very soon they show up, if you can maintain an abundant mindset (:

(and yes, spiritual, communicative, open-minded, intelligent men do exist)

Most of the guys I like are Christian or Catholic but I’ve liked guys from other faiths before because I care more about a man’s morals and ability to express love than I do about his theological orientation. While religion is important, I believe God loves people from all religions and not just mine.

Absolutely. I've tried dating Christians and Catholics over the years but their beliefs heavily conflict with my non religious beliefs.

I have one belief when it comes to relationships. Chemistry... real chemistry is when there are SIMILARITIES between you and your partner. That means similar VIEWS, similar INTERESTS, similar WAY OF COMMUNICATING, similar SENSE OF HUMOR, etc. If you don't have the same views on religion and stuff that could affect how you raise your kids in the future, don't do it. Just my opinion.

That is a tough one - Unless you are very religious and it is an issue before a relationship starts but that is a different debate for the couple - Most of the rest of us would like to take the high ground and say not a problem - But in reality things sneak in, stuff like kids, how do we raise them , where do we live , how do we live - So it is not as simple "Yeah, I am down with most things "

    Yes i care

I once had a boyfriend who was muslim

I asked him if he can see me in his future.
He told me that he can't be with me for many years, because i am not muslim. So i have to convert in the future.

Half of my family is muslim and half is not. So when i was little, i used to be both muslim and catolik. But then i changed and choosed to only be a protestant.

I told him that i don't want to convert in the future and become a muslim.

    So we broke up

I guess since i don't want to be a muslim, i am never gonna date a muslim, cause its just gonna end anyway.

For me, its easier to date someone who is christian.

Depends like I figure out I don't get along that well with Muslims, we just have complete opposite opinions and Christians are fine to some extent but well I'm not religious at all and I don't see myself in any group thing sooo yeah.. but thankfully religion wasn't a problem yet

I do actually. I don’t care how often he goes to church or what denomination he is, I just want him to be Christian. On the other hand however I don’t want him to be so Christian that he throws the book and passes judgment on everything. My Christian faith is a big part of my life but there’s a big difference between being strong in your faith and being a bigoted blind religious fanatic

I don't follow any "religion" any more. I was raised Christian, but there was too much Hypocrisy, and I had to find another way.
As long as we can discuss, and she does not expect me to conform to her beliefs/religion, we can be fine.
I have met, and dated some, with their own Way, and we have had great discussions, and found that we really believe the same, but maybe with different names, or slightly different aspects, but all have been compatible.

No at all. In fact, I find that kind of difference exciting :) I think it can bring different perspectives to my life. But well, I guess it can end up being annoying if she "insist" on converting me ^^" But if she doesn't, I would even see it as a pro.

I've never dated anyone who was very strictly following any religion. That being said, I'm agnostic and I've dated Christians, Muslims, pagan Wiccans, and Buddhists. I never cared one way or the other and they were fine that I don't affiliate with their religion. Maybe they would have cared if they were very strictly following their religion. I just try to date people who are accepting of differing beliefs. As long as they don't try and judge me for having differing beliefs or anyone else for that matter, I have no issue with dating someone of any religion

Only if they are actually religious about it.

Meaning I don't care as long as they like me see religion as an afterthought, something made by man to control others.

That's not to say I don't belive a the creator but to me God is a three letter word that simplifies something much bigger and beyond our understanding but that doesn't mean I will allow that lack of understanding to enable a group of humans to control my life.

Not because of the fact, but if she really is a believer it would lead to discussion I rather not have with a partner. I will just piss her off. It's a no win situation. So she really needs to keep it to herself, and not get into religious topics and trying to sway my opinion or get support about her beliefs. It will just cause friction.

Doesn't matter to me. Although i'll admit if they are the same it does make it way easier to go to church and do the usual things. Like when I visit another country for the first time I do try to go to church on Sunday to experience it. So these aspects make the SO gel easily.

Early on in college I was open to going anywhere if i was invited and that allowed me to experience different religions including non-demonation.

The Missus is Buddhist. Where some in her family are Christian.
I'm a tolerant and 'unconventional' Christian.
We have no frictions because we tolerate the other one in any way, and don't impose stuff on each other - although we sometimes talk about our views.
Recently, we went to a temple because she wanted to 'make merit'. I joined and offered a prayer to my own God.
    Where is the problem.

Yes, religion is a core value of mine and a SO of a different religion would be a deal breaker- especially in the long run. Otherwise, I'm not particularly picky, as long as she's a good person.

It's according to if the SO is seriously religious or simply spiritual.

If someone is dedicated to their faith more than to anything else, it would be a problem as I am more spiritual than anything and dogmatic people are not my kind.

If she is a Baptist, or a conservative Methodist, I wouldn't have a problem with dating a woman like that. I'm a Trinitarian Pentecostal, so if she isn't, I would want her be willing to convert to Trinitarian Pentecostalism. I would NEVER date a Oneness Pentecostal. That's one thing I will not do. In fact, there was this one woman on eHarmony I had some interest in, and I read her profile, and it said "Ask me about my apostolic pentecostal faith". In my head, I said "Next! Not interested". It's not because I didn't find her beautiful, it was because of her religious beliefs, and how radically different they were from mine.

Yes I do care, I would not date anyone who is religious, I can’t imagine it at least.

Don't care if they are secular like me. It's difficult if they are believers, even if it's my religion
