Yes. We go to Easter Mass and then go to my parents' house. We make a traditional Easter frittata and in the afternoon usually pray the Rosary and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. My son and my nephew are both old enough now that they may possibly be able to grasp an Easter egg hunt, so that will happen as well. At some point in the day, we'll watch this movie called The Robe. It's about the Roman soldier who crucified Jesus and won His garment in the dice toss at Calvary.
Depending on who's in town, friends or family may visit as well.
Thank you for MHO.
I used to have some traditions, Easter and otherwise, though they seem to have slowly disappeared with the demise of the family elders and with the changes in general in society and my personal life.
Not since my paternal grandmother died a few years ago. She dragged everyone to Easter service followed by a big family lunch. While I miss my grandmother, I don't miss this tradition one bit since she was probably among the world's worst cooks.
We went to chruch for the first time in years
