Yes, it is. What other possibility is there? If God isn't real, then someone who believes they are talking with God must be talking to themselves. There's no other possibility.

i can't speak for all "non believers" but i do believe that god is imaginary to believers. i wouldn't even go so far as to call god a "friend" tho.

there's a difference between not believing and denial, because some people choose not to believe because they dont like the truth it speaks, all i know is that atheists spend too much time trying to proof to believers that god doesn't exist while believers are just spreading the word of god.

I've met several that have admitted it, its the truth in some cases and some dont believe cause they want to live in sin , I've spoken to people that admitted it

That's easy to claim. I know a lot of atheists and they don't believe because like me they find it unbelievable. The Christian God is no more believable than Santa Claus or Leprechauns.

If a Christian says "I believe that God is real" I have no argument with them. If they accept that I am telling the truth when I say "I don't believe in God as I haven't been shown any convincing evidence", that's fine too. But that's usually not what happens.
