How to balance in Politics, Allowing school prayer without Obligating it?

commonly Religions say, "Only ours is good". then they forbid other religious styles. and atheism also blocks some religion too. so jefferson suggested to add to an ammendment, that is now really in first, "no law etc. or prohibit the free exercise" of religion. he was protecting because against limiting religion. *see my mytake, that he t. j. was the unaffiliated "secular" one, and the one protecting religion, the suggestor of this detail, that became an amendment must not limit religion. ironic? but as i introduced here.

Even he was not really secular in contrast to our generation demanding limit and ban school prayer in the name of secularism.

if that is a constitutional idea in an amendment, then it seems odd that a supreme court in 1962 "invalidated" page 5, engel v. vitale, a prayer. cannot and must not limit? that was unconstitutional.

furthermore despite some very loud atheists, still the democratic idea of people choosing policy , would demand obeying the 80% and more "favored prayer in public schools" page 5, because that is what most citizens favor , far more than the 2/3 supermajority, so the representative must represent the supermajority citizens over the loud minority. so how can we balance these angles? without limiting religion as above?

You're being simple minded.

It is not the job of politics to be meddling in schools or religion and you're seeing an inkling of why. Politicians have made a career out of ruling over peoples very lives, but dipshits worry about "religion" ruling over their lives!

The policy should entirely be down to the school, it's board and principle. If you join a golf club, you play by it's rules. Not demand they change the rules to accommodate you, because you want to join.

This is why technology has been getting better, but people have been getting worse since the second world war. Politics can't teach shit when it comes to conduct, lifestyle and social cohesion - it can only play people off each other and manage assets.

It's why in the past, the people and civilisations were better - they didn't give politicians the light of day to divide them.

It's also why the European experiment of America has failed. We should have put better tabs on them, and realised you can't outright control crazy.

School prayer is allowed. Students can pray at any time they like if they aren't disturbing others. School personnel cannot lead prayer.

They can pray anytime they like. They can gather as a group outside class and pray together. They can gather at lunch and pray before their meal. They can pray silently during class. Who would even know?

I pray in class all the time. Really no one knows cause I'm doing it silently. But it should be okay. I don't get atheists

It is totally ok. Atheists don't care if you or anyone else prays. They care if someone in authority at their child's school is leading prayers.

Either abondon school prayers entirely, or just give the pupils 15 mins to pray to their respective deity, christians praying to god, muslims to Allah, and atheist kids have 15 mins to do whatever they want.

Students are free to pray for 15 minutes before school or after school or during free time (e. g. lunch). Why do they need to do it during the school day?

Work on school time. Pray on your own time. That's why there are churches, synagogues, mosques, other.
