I’ve had both experiences. On drugs… I was at an outdoor Rolling Stones concert on something that I don’t even know what it was as it was given to us from the people in front of us… although I was no stranger to drugs at the time. It was pot or hash laced with something. I remember having the major revelation “that we were God’s drug”. :D

But I prefer without. He doesn’t talk to me though.

They were awesome. Its awesome that Mick and the gang are still going strong when they could have retired a long time ago. I used to travel internationally a lot and meet cool people. I met a guy who the night before partied with the Stones at their hotel in Vienna I think. He talked to Charlie much of the night and Charlie’s point was that rockers today don’t work hard on their craft.

I met some people who knew Mick at a hotel in Copenhagen, the D’Angleterre. He would take an early morning run down a famous pedestrian road dressed to be overlooked.

I met the drummer for Sheryl Crow in Istanbul where we were seated at nearby tables outdoors on a beautiful day with an empty restaurant. They performed the night before and were flying to Europe that day. He said she was the hardest working person he knew. He asked me if he should sell his condo in San Francisco since he was only there a few months a year. I said no as the market was going up and it was a place to rest and relax. He decided to keep it. You meet a lot of cool people traveling, some famous, some not.
