I believe that hauntings can be real and spiritual paranormal activity is a real thing and that black magic has real effects.
There are so many real stories of people trying to communicate with the dead or trying to summon demons, and things in their house start moving on their own and frightening disturbances or worse (like unexplained accidents, deaths, and more) can happen.
So, I’m spiritual in the sense that I believe that there are invisible forces/entities interacting with our world beyond what we can currently understand with modern science.
I believe in a higher power/s that is able to protect us from said entities.
As for religion, I don’t believe there is any one religion that has ALL the answers.
Religion can be a starting point or a point of reference for things, but for a genuine seeker of truth, they will need to be able to assess things both critically and open-mindedly, to sift through rigid traditions and find the universal truth.
Couldn't write it any better myself. Completely agree
@ShadowYamihiro Thanks! 🥂
Those are two extremes. I'm somewhere in the middle.
All arguments I've seen for following or believing a religion are not logically sound. Though I am actively trying to understand why people follow religion more and more, since day one I have never believed and you can't force someone to believe.
I grew up in the church and I was always wondering what praying was doing, what was happening in the church. Never could understand. Especially because after getting out, I can see that people grew up in the church and never actually thought for themselves, only following the ideas of those around them and not considering things to the full extent. I try my best to consider my positions to the full extent though it is difficult being human!
I can't follow any human based religion and I have no reason to believe a God actually exists as of right now, and probably as of my entire lifetime.
The problem with religion is; it's hard to take it seriously when there are over 4,000 flavors. Can they all be right?
Scientists are funny. They say there is no God. lol Like they would know? Did they check? Did they Google it?
But what's even funnier about scientists, is they believe in a big bang theory that happened 13.8 billion years ago. lol
And don't lie and say it was 14 billion years ago! It was 13.8 billion years ago!
I guess I'm just spiritual and have a bit of common sense. There must be a reason for Tulips and butterflies, and there must be a higher power that we don't understand.
