nobody can. cause they work on completely opposing principles.

science is based on evidence. meaning: showing that what you claim is true by providing a body of facts which are positively indicative of, and/or exclusively concordant with one available position or hypothesis over any other.

religion is based on believe, which something one may hold to be true even if they cannot show it to be true or even if it can be shown to be false.

so the only way science and religion can align is if "what is actually true" happens to align with a religious believe, which is rarely the case.

Real science is willing to take religious theories into consideration, Religious organization don't accept and even prosecuted in the past people who dare to public scientific evidences. Nicolaus Copernicus knew he doesn't have long to live as he decided to public his theories about planets and solar system. Kepler used the schism and conflict of Protestants and Catholics in Bohemia to public his book about Planets. Currently churches lose their "sheep" or in other term believer cattle and have very low influence on scientific publication. But it might change some day maybe and I'm sure church starts instantly to oppress scientists again.
