That is a huge misconception. We do not hate anyone. Jesus teaches us not to hate. However, we strongly disagree with their assertion that Jesus is only a prophet. Jesus is God in human form and the ONLY WAY to Heaven.

If you see someone claiming to be a Christian but doing something despicable or hurtful, they are not true Christians. They may carry the name of Christian and even know some scripture, but a TRUE Christian loves his neighbor.

Also, there is a difference between HATING someone and simply telling them the truth.

Syria is the birthplace of Christianity. And Muslims, Christians and Jews lived side by side as friends and neighbors in the Middle East for 1500 years with mosques, churches, synagogues and holy places, while non-Christians in Europe were being persecuted.

I am very familiar with Syria and Palestine in particular. They used to be popular tourist destinations for Christians who wanted to see the Holy Land. They aren't and never were anti-Christian. Syria even celebrates Christmas and other Christian holidays to this day.
