I've never met a Christian whom hated muslims, on the contrary they put in effort to understand and connect with them. I attended several meetings to become educated on Muslims. Some are scared of them because they were unknown to them and rather keep to their own.
That said there's too much misery passed between them, and Muslims can be as awful as anyone, especially in extreme form and it's justified. Nigeria Africa is an example.

I happen to be Jewish, but I did nearly convert to Christianity. It's my impression that Christians are commanded not to hate anyone, but to love everyone as Christ loved the church.
