Anyone, do muslim countries or mosques send aid to their co-religionists in poor somalia?

somalia is a country with a state religion islam, and FOURTH poorest of the top ten poorest countries in africa, after war torn south sudan, related to darfur. in somalia, over 90% are muslim. (you know how that happened.) but the question is:

do muslims send aid to their own religion who is suffering? why still extremely poor?

not just somalia, but also countries chad and niger, very poor, in top ten poorest despite oil rich coreligionists? same religion, majority islam, as the worldwide and less poor muslims. why these 3 still extremely poor?

if muslims must give zakkat, would theey give to poor christians? they seem to expect christians to give to christians. why not give zakkat to all?

Yes they do. Somalia receives aid from the Arab League, Islamic Development Bank, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and the UAE, among others, but it’s already a failed state and there’s barely any infrastructure to even receive and administer the aid.

Obviously. Zakat is a pillar of their faith.

But with countries like Sudan, Niger, Chad etc, it's not religion, but colonial legacies and Western exploitation that cause their issues.

The United States has brought justice, democracy and peace to most countries, for example, look at Iraq, look at Afghanistan, look at Syria. They are all the most democratic countries, because the United States has brought democracy there.
