Salam all! I've been a hijabi for a little over 2 years now and I'm in love with it. I haven't made much progress in learning Arabic but of course I'll get trying, I'm a English speaking revert so it's completely different from what I'm used to. Anyway, I remember seeing a niqabi at my local library when I was chilling with my girl and I started to wonder. I previously thought niqab and burkas where regional. Do you feel closer to Allah then where you were hijabi? Did you start off with hijab and which? Please tell me your experiences. I heard of one woman who isn't Muslim wearing a niqab because her husband wants her beauty to himself. I'm not sure how I feel about that, but anyone can do whatever they want I guess so 🤷🏾♀️. I also know a pagan woman who wears niqab to feel closer to her God and I find that very honorable. I don't know if I'll personally ever wear it myself, but if I ever feel the call, perhaps I'll pick up.

if i wore hijab, like you, i wouldn't switch add niqab. if men pressured me to cover more, if i can argue, i say you cover more.
if not allowed to answer, or they shout, i realize their system is demon not really alla and find a merciful religions because alla is merciful.
learning arabic was difficult for me too but i know some. you can too.
Alhamdulillah, thank you for the encouragement
It's a direct connection between you and Allah so do as your heart desires and your mind rationalizes. I personally am severely anti-niqaab but fully support hijaab if the woman wishes to do so.
May I ask why you are anti-niqab?
Because if she chooses to hide her face then she is hiding her identity. If she chooses to hide her identity, then she has no place in public dealing or socializing. Just stay in her life at home.
Oh but there are many niqabis who go out and have social life's! Like the lady I saw at the library that one time or the ladies on Instagram.
I cannot stop them but I do not approve of them. What I can do? I will not have them in my company. I will not even give them a chance for an interview. I do not want to deal with someone who i cannot even interpret or judge by their facial expressions when they talk.
That's understandable
Please do understand that I am saying all this as a Muslim. I am old for being decently clothed and however women feel comfortable with their clothing, and taking hijab if and when they feel comfortable. It's only covering the face where it goes overboard dor me as far as being publicly active is concerned.
Okay
Ramadaan Mubaarak to you. I hope you are able to pray, fast and take time out from worldly pleasures to the best of your ability.
Ramadaan Mubaarak, I wish you all the same.
