by the way, my wife is at the Amish farrier (horseshoer) right now.
It is a huge pain in the ass to connect with him since he doesn't have a phone, let alone email or a social media account!

They don't think that the internet was developed by the devil. It's not about technology being evil, but about it being prone to mislead you; not just into sin, but away from home and family. This is why they're not allowed bicycles, but roller blades are fine, since they're seen as a form of recreation, not transportation. If one of them gets hurt and needs medical equipment, they'll get it, and even take batteries or set up solar panels to make it work.

It's certainly not a way I'd choose to live, but there IS reason, logic, and discussion behind it.
