All of the larger religions are real! Some religions have a wealth of historical and archaeological evidence supporting the existence of certain figures or the occurrence of certain events mentioned in their sacred texts. Religious beliefs are typically based on faith, which is a belief in something without requiring empirical evidence. It is often centered around spiritual experiences, moral values, and community, rather than empirical evidence that can be universally examined and tested.

Also to take note of is that faith is a deeply personal aspect and varies greatly from one individual to another. If you don't believe in something that is your own call but to say that most or any isn't real based on no true knowledge about religions and why they co-exit, is just stupid.

One needs to also take note the difference between religion vs sect and not to conclude that they are all the same and categorised as a religion.

1, those who fail to convince many followers (around 4000 faiths including faith that god is not real) showed not proof. that leaves the major ones.

2, hindu is huge and has veda and mahabharata to prove it is true. but they switched the divine veda for other rules instead. so if following gods in veda is true hindu doesn't do that.

3, the ones who spread by fear inquisition and sword failed to spread by proof.

only one is left, by deduction. protestant christian. and also it does spread by proof.

Religion is philosophy, not science. It's hard to argue with the teaching of Jesus in the new testament, putting loving your neighbor as the highest of all Commandments not related to boilerplate believe in God stuff they have to lead with.

I define religion as a belief about the nature of deity, and since deity is not, has not, and will not ever be "proven", no religion can be proven true. That does not mean that your religion can't be useful in your life. It means trying to prove it is a fools errand that only diminishes your and your religion's reputation.
