You don't have to be a Muslim to fast, although Ramadan is Muslim rules. Christians fast based upon no schedule. Indian/Hindu fast periodically. Jews... who knows.
Fasting is proven to be healthy and Ramadan's rule is from sunup to sun down. So you better get started.
