Easter Sunday is like a second Christmas in my family. A big holiday where the family gets together and gifts are exchanged. Grant that as the kids get older the "Easter Bunny" part is not as big as it used to be.
For my part, being Catholic, I will attend the Easter Vigil mass, which takes place on Holy Saturday night. That will start at 8:30 and usually ends around 10.
The next morning, although the kids are too old to believe in the Easter Bunny anymore, we leave Easter baskets and some wrapped presents around the house. They will search them out and open their gifts. Then we have breakfast and go visit the maternal grandparents where a few more presents are exchanged.
Then after that head to my parent's house for a big family get together. At least 20 or 30 people and a big dinner. That usually goes to fairly late in the evening and then we head home.
As the kids attend a Catholic school - all are junior high school age a this point - we then have the whole week off. (I take the week off, too.) The rest of the week is then going to movies, going to the park and just having a great time. Outdoors as much as possible depending on the weather.
It is, without doubt, my favorite holiday. Wishing all a Happy Easter Sunday.

I will be in church Sunday morning celebrating Easter. It will also be only four weeks left to the date of our wedding. Sunday afternoon, the family will gather for a late lunch to celebrate my mother's 93rd birthday (which is March 31) and to also celebrate my nephew's 40th bithday (March 27.)
I am not religious, so I am all about the Easter bunny hopping in to leave me a basket of delicious and yummy candy! We don't have small children in the house anymore, they are all grown up, so no Easter egg hunts. We will be having a family dinner of ham, mashed potatoes, asparagus, deviled eggs, and crescent rolls. Yum!

Perhaps visit family although they are quite far away. Still no firm plans yet but that is not unusual for us. I am religious though. Last year I went to a dawn Easter Sunday service on the beach with a non-denominational church that I happened to wander into. My religious organization was up the street but in the dark I went to the wrong one but decided to stay as they all seemed nice. There were even a dozen or so surfers participating and some of the surfers even had their family on the beach on blankets. It was an awesome service and up-lifting.
Afternoon dinner at my parents place along with brothers and sisters with their families as well. Always fun and my mom is such a great cook. Dad is already filling the plastic eggs with toys and dollar bills which he will have hidden all over their backyard woods. I bring deviled eggs, mom will have a whole ham and lamb.

Go to Mass. Then go to my parents' house, where I will make our annual Easter frittata, meet my sister's new fiancee's parents, and smoke a cigar.
I've never do too much over Easter , and here in Thailand it will not be much of a thing , I used to play the same golf tournament every year and stay on site , that was always fun but was long ago , not sure that tournament still exists.
Me and my family will be attending church in the morning on Easter, then afterwards we'll spend a nice relaxing day at home just chilling and giving praise to the lord.
