Why do Atheists insist on telling others that God isn't real?

It's ok if they don't believe in God, but why do they feel the need to enforce their own opinions and beliefs onto other people? Especially to people of other religions like Christianity, Catholicism, Jewism, etc.

I remember an Atheist who literally told other Christians that there's no evidence that God is real, basically telling them what to believe, why are some Atheists like this?

Why would atheists not have just as much of a right to proselytize as any other faith?

Are many of them assholes about it? No question (and hypocrites, too, as we saw with "trust the science!", but that's another issue). But the same is true of those who tell everyone they're going to Hell because they don't follow the exactly correct version of the one true faith, because while God loves you, He's not willing to allow you into Heaven if you believe Jesus was crucified with the wrong number of nails.

And for pity's sake, Catholics ARE Christians. They have, in fact, more of a right to the label than any other sect. Look back at history and realize that making them regret their decision to not be even bigger jackasses is a really, REALLY bad idea.

Generally speaking, it's because they don't want the God believers to continue to live their lives believing in something that isn't real, to help them out. But the person you're talking about is just trying to shake the hornets nest by telling them they're wrong about their core beliefs. That person was just trollin'. It's just that simple.

Because the default view is theism!!! We're only protecting what very little space we're afforded. It's shoved in to athiests faces all day everyday about this god crap. I still can't believe that athiests LOST in court multiple times to have "in God we trust" removed from currency. It's HIGHLY OFFENSIVE to me.

The problem I have with atheists is that they think they are smarter than people of faith and feel the need to belittle the beliefs of people of faith. Then they wonder why people of faith won't vote for them if they run for office!
