We know this Christianphobic attack on the Christian Religion is next, ho look trying that with the Muslims.
That would be a serous an attack on religious liberty and the 1st amendment as you can get. Although a State in theory could do this the Federal Government is explicitly banned.
For good reason many if not most major religions reject homosexuality and find the idea of recognizing a procreative union of people of the same sex not merely absurd but a sin.
So God cares if some lesbians are scissoring but he missed slavery, Holocaust and childhood cancer?

@DrPepper12 You are not forced to take God's advice on how to live this is kind of the entire point of life, nor does God unfortunately intend everyone to walk the easy path. But the church exist to help people learn and walk the path. They must follow the rules as best as they can.
Hate to break it to ya, God is no more real than the tooth fairy
@DrPepper12 I'm afraid God is real, indeed religious believe is part of what makes us human as distinct from other sapiens species.
Which god? Ahura Mazda? Loki? Isis? Mani? Zeus? Yahweh? Buddha?
@DrPepper12 I think the God of Abraham has given the best advice and most successful peoples. That means he is by the best information we have available under the standards we judge everything else the more correct personification of God.
But that doesn't necessarily mean we are not speaking of the same God as other religions view him.
Zoroastrianism is the best in its simplicity: "Good wirds, good thoughts, good deeds". Thoroughly IN this world and less paranormal bullshit
@DrPepper12 Zoroastrianism were soo valid a religion then like everything else it wold inspire more success in those who follow it.
The parsis are among the most successful people in india today.
@DrPepper12 They also don't exist too much beyond that region
Veracity is measured in mass appeal? Surely as a Christian thats not what you're suggesting is it?
@DrPepper12 No I am suggesting we will measure it as we do all other aspects of life based upon success not merely popular popular appeal or personal outcomes but all of that together.
Well then! I congratulate you on your conversion to the love and light of Ahura Mazda! The one true God and grantor of salvation!
which is why no one is proposing it
@DrPepper12 Define "real". And then define "God".
This is why they have "civil marriages," which are not religious marriages.
Also, the state cannot force any religion to do anything.
Usually, what they are talking about is the booking of venues. Most of these venues are registered as a business, and thus subject to business laws.
But some are not, and thus exempt.
No that goes against the separation of church and state as well as freedom of religion. the GOV's hands are already in too much as is.
No. While I love to shit on churches, that would go against the separation of church and state.
Same! Enjoy your delusion but I'll defend it if govt compels dogma!
I will say this: The church (and I use the term broadly) seems compelled to influence the politics of our country. They should have their tax exemptions removed for blurring and crossing that line. Of course, there are churches that are actually for their community and stay out of politics, so make it a case by case basis.
No no, by all means, be a Christian, Catholic, Adventist, or any other denomination you can dream of. Point I'm getting at is that the USA is supposed to have a clear separation of church and state as defined by the Bill of Rights "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion." Therefore, religion had no business in politics. As almost every religion on earth exists here in the USA, a law that respects 1 religion's ideology would condem the rest. So, for example, churches advocating for politicians is doing exactly that. So, that's why I say that if a church gets involved with politics, end their tax exemption.
Louder for the theocrats in the cheap seats...

That would not be right. By what people say, 'there's separation of church and state". Supposedly, the church can't force the government so therefore the government shouldn't force the church to marry people who go against ita beliefs.
What do I really think? We need to elect people who have Christian values into government. Because it's not a religious organization, it's an individual who was raised with Judeo-Christian values who will govern with The Scriptures in mind. But I'm sure people will discriminate against such individuals yet they expect to everyone else to not discriminate. Double standard and hypocrisy at its best.
Which Christian values? The itinerant brown skinned migrant SJW or Republican jesus?
@Dongie i don't think insane MAGA or insane leftists WILLINGLY want the "destruction of america". They just have a minority vision of america and they are the loudest at times and/or make for better rating$
@Dongie ain't my savior. I dont need saving from a threat that doesn't exist by a textbook sociopathic narcissist who always seems to need more money...
@Dongie good try at deflection too. My statement stull stands.
Why would i respect the non existent?
But I'll play along. What has the invisible prick DONE to EARN my respect?
@DrPepper12 I don't know either. I'm talking about the Jesus from the Bible.
of course not. it's their choice if they want to. freedom. I say the same about people that want to bake a cake for them... you don't have to do anything.
this is where the "rights" laws fall down and I favor individual rights.
How bout we just by law put all the useless humans behind bars, the ones that refuse to reproduce or have sexualities that prevent reproduction, you know since you want to invade people's rights how about we do it the right way 😂
That's a good question
No, never. It's a sin and against the Bible. The church is to be separate from the world for a reason. To be forced isn't right, as it'd go against the amendment. I think people need to leave the churches alone and quit forcing them to have to accept this stuff
Should Islamic Mosques be forced by the Federal government to perform Gay Marriages, and, while they are at it, stop performing clitoridectomies?
The separation of church and state is to protect the church from the state as much as the other way around. But with no rein on the wild far leftists that have managed to take control and use the FBI and CIA as well as other blackness we know nothing about I'm sure that's the least of our worries.
Leftists in charge of FBI and CIA? 90% of them are Republicans dumass.
Must be another conspiracy...
That would be direct violation of the first amendment. Not saying that our government wonāt do itā¦. The Biden administration has had no problem shredding the constitution and wiping their asses with it.
I guess that's one way to get married to a bullet... What they forced me, I had no other choice but to perform the ceremony... Now call the coroner.
Christians are more of an elitist than gays are so good luck with that real Christians will never allow gay people
Bruh, as someone who was in that lifestyle, the rainbow fam has overtaken but somehow the lgbtqia is still oppressed in their own minds
No, churches can do what they want as a matter of doctrine. Itās called separation of church and state. The state should be concerned about households for taxation purposes, not āmarriagesā, and recognize everything.
That would be an outrageous First Amendment violation.
the problem of coercion is relevant, can't coerce a church with threats like that.
No. Religion ia a freedom of choice. Its already bad that a child must grow up in a system that sets rules that may stint a child's growth from the normal. It can be very detrimental to them.
No. But if churches want to get political they should not be tax exempt.
Taxing churches is just another tax on the people who already pay to much tax. Communities rely on churches, often they are the only thing keeping poorer Communities going.
Think about it, people donate to churches money they earned and already been taxed on.
that would be a violation of the First Amendment. I haven't seen a law like that make it anywhere near passage in any city, county, state, or federal level in the US
No, one of the biggest thing about being Christian is Choice, and No government should be allowed to impose anything on any church It is one of the main reasons that there is a separation of Church and State in the US.
Christians with choice? LMFAO!!! TY for the laff
No religious institutions should be legally compelled to do anything!! Why are you asking about things that don't occur?
i don't give a shit. get all them queers together (queer = weird, strange) and build a gay house of worship, but that's not the objective. the agenda is to get christians to accept gays
No one should be forced to do things that are against their beliefs. Unless there is a signed contract or it is their paid job!
No non-governmental actor should be forced to render any service.
No, these things should not be forced. Everyone should do this at their own will.
Only if the church preaches politics.
And the minute they do they should pay taxes! Want a seat at the table? Ante up!
@DrPepper12 if the government is doing something wrong shouldn't the church speak up inside the walls of its own building leaving the decision up to the free will of its members?
@DrPepper12 exactly
@Drewtate the church does not have the authority to say what is right or wrong. That they claim to have that authority without any evidence of a magical entity backing it up, is the entire problem with religion and why it needs to be kept out of state business. The fence between church and state is for the benefit of both sides. If the church doesn't want the government telling it what services it must perform then the church can entirely stay out of the government's business too.
Are they part of the community or not? They are so everyone who owns property should kicks in for local services like schools n library.
@DrPepper12 they already do that. Raising money and providing volunteers when local authorities mismanage taxpayer money.
I mean who took in those 50 migrants in Martha's vineyard when all the property owners told them there was no room at the inn even though there were literally thousands of rooms they could stay in.
That voluntary. Taxes are compulsory. Can I say I picked up litter in my town and get out of property tax? No! Ofc not! Ridiculous proposal
@DrPepper12 A few churches are not like my neighbor's. Tbh, getting rid of the F1-OC3 would be the best thing for the church. That way, they're not slaves to the government and can preach what they want. But unfortunately some pastors would think that NOT having funding would is the end of the world bc they're slaves to being spoiled by the government. God doesn't need funding bc he can provide whenever he chooses! And he will bc his Word says in Matthew 16:18 "... upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it." Notice he doesn't say the church will never have trouble (financial or otherwise). He says the TRUE church will never cease to exist. So, we're not afraid.
@Lostgirl611 all for it! Let the congregants pay full fare!
I'm not here to judge, everyone will held accountable Individually
No one should be "forced" to do anything, especially something that violates their conscience.
No, they should not.
That would violate the first amendment.
Christian Churches should be burned to the ground. All of them. Then you needn't worry about them being forced to do anything.
You sound like a trump real estate developer... š
@DrPepper12 amazing how the judge valued trump's Mar-a-Lago properties at 20 million yet all the neighbouring properties sell for 400 million.
Absolutely not!! Iconoclasm is evil. I ABHOR religion but religion has contributed some of the most amazing achievements of human culture in the arts, atchitecture, music, literature, etc. NEVER destroy them! Turn them into museums to a bygone age
No. Get that gay ish away.
If the bible says no, then its a no.
Absolutely NOT!
that is a sin
nice b8 m8, i r8 8/8
