It’s no secret that Christians tend to be pushy (I’m Christian by the way and even I’m saying it). She meant well extended the invitation, but if you don’t want to go you can just politely decline. Don’t give a reason, just say “no thank you”. If she keeps pushing, it’s up to you how to handle it, but if she’s actually cool, she’ll back off

The average Christian doesn't push it like that. It's the evangelical types who always push religion. Fortunately they are a minority. Unfortunately they are a vocal minority.

Do they get paid? It's possible. There was a local Baptist church near me that used to give away televisions to whoever brought in the most new people each month. Paying cash isn't too much different than that.

Part of the Christian mission is to witness to people in order to get them Saved. And as long as she doesn't get a definitive NO from you, she might continue to persist, which is what she SHOULD do. My advise is to ensure you ARE Saved, whether it's because of her persistence, or because you've found another way to ensure your Salvation
