Would you agree that all religions offer some form of wisdom?

I don't mean that all religions are right or even good. Just that if you study their beliefs enough, you will gain some wisdom. I am not a fan of Islam, but I think if I studied it long enough, I would gain some form of wisdom. What do you think?

Honestly I'd hope there would be at least some wisdom in these books that so many people follow. If there wasn't a single piece of wisdom, I'd question humanity's intelligence and how easily they can be persuaded more than I already do.

The more you study religion, the more holes in its logic you can find. There's a bit of psychology that says:
A man with conviction is a hard man to change.

If we hold strong beliefs that are undermined by evidence to the contrary -->
We find ourselves in an uncomfortable state of "cognitive dissonance" -->

If we accept the contradiction, this causes further inconsistency between our past and present beliefs -->

So instead we may find ways to make the new evidence consistent with our beliefs.

Basically once you're indoctrinated with specific views, even if you're presented logical counterarguments, you tend to utilize those counterarguments and make them consistent with your own views.

I don't think any wisdom can be found in religion. Or rather, whatever wisdom there is that could be found is negated by the petty self indulgences of those who follow that religion completely ignoring that wisdom.

Islam is another branch of the Abrahamic tree. I don’t think you would really gain anything from it that you wouldn’t gain from the Judeo-Christian doctrines. Try branching out further into the philosophies of Hinduism, or Buddhism, maybe even the Church of Satan if you feel so adventurous

Pretty much. For anything to stand the test of time there has to be some utility, otherwise they wouldn’t have made it into modernity. The exception would be brand new religions that haven’t yet indicated they have staying power.

Wisdom might not be the right word though. They all have adaptive advantages which is what causes them to persist despite costs.
