When did science finally realize as they say now the bible order?

I remember as a kid reading "the sun is even older than the earth! " in an atlas, "millions of years older" such they estimated based on ratio of fused helium against hydrogen.

Later i read the bible that the sun was 3 days younger. The conflict bothered me. So i asked my rabbi "doesn't god know the order he made stuff?"

The rabbi was ready "the scientists didn't SEE when the sun formed".

Later Science started to come around...

In the 2010s i was reading about the sun. it said the age! I searched earth age tudum! Same number.

estimate can't get precise enough for days! So same week is close enough.

But now! Science finally admitted the bible order is better.

First

sun formed later!

Not same time but later! Same as bible Order sun after earth.

The geniuses with their gadgets and computers finally realized the bible order was right. The sun formed later.

But when did they realize this?

Also silly rabbit i mean silly rabbi, i asked a few and each had his twist that the bible meant the sun was older... just ignore the day number... they also "believed the earth was younger than sun" just twist the bible. In various twists. "Made" does not mean made! One rabbi had a compromise the same time. Just ignore th day numbers.

All to reach the marketable interpretation that scientists hav now reversed.

Well, to me the rabbi didn’t provide the best answer to begin with. Truthfully if you’re willing to just accept that the Bible is correct because the rabbi said what he said, it would stand to reason that you should also accept this logic when I say it to you.


Just as the scientists from your example weren’t able to see the sun nor the earth being created so they don’t truly know the answer, the people who wrote the Bible were not around to see those events either. Even the most radical religious people admit that whatever holy text they believe was ultimately written by human beings. Even if they say it was divinely inspired, from the perspective of religion, it was written down by humans and humans are inherently flawed so mistakes are not only possible, but also expected to have been made.


More importantly to me though would be why the order actually matters to you? Whether or not the Bible were to have gotten correct which one came first, aren’t we just kinda playing the whole chicken or egg coming first game? In no way does it prove anything regarding the Bible or the rest of its contents, which I would argue are the parts of the text that are the important ones from a religious standpoint at least.


I am also why you’re saying the Bible but then referring to your rabbi? I thought Jewish people would reference the Torah? I could be entirely misinformed about this and if I’m wrong please let me know, or maybe they’re both used or maybe the Torah is only used at certain times, I don't know. I’m not Jewish.


Lastly I am curious if this is the biggest issue you have with buying the contents of genesis, let alone the entire Old Testament, let alone the entire Bible? Because if this is the part you were having trouble with, I envy you. There are so many blatantly unbelievable things in there that I can point to. E. g. the flood that god sent to rid the entire world of the sinfulness it had been consumed with, that he only mentioned to one human being because he was righteous or something? So that guy built a boat and put 2 of EVERY LIVING ANIMAL onto it with himself and his family before the world flooded literally killing everyone on it but them? Amazingly no boat or remnants of a boat that would have been near the size that this one needed to be have ever been verifiably discovered? Oh and also the apparently most righteous man alive at the time of the flood that was going to wash away all the sinful humans partook in and therefore was allowed to live because god let him know about the flood ahead of time waited until they all got off the boat and then had sex with his sons wife nearly immediately afterwards? I don't know. Doesn’t sound all too righteous to me.


There are plenty of more pertinent issues to me then whether or not the sun came before the earth or not, nor does the fact that they’re now in “Bible order” any proof of the accuracy of the Bible to me.

But about the unbelievable flood even science agreed that part true
with the time division "antedeluvian" in science journals.

Part1, i was not willing for that.
P2. Scientists did not "observe" and so change estimates. This is expected, in contrast to prophets who "did not see" but god told them.
Part 3, if "divine inspired" then the idea they wrote is "true correct" despite typos.

That is something repeated, chik from eg from chik etc.
But this we can test.

The proof is if order is not like book genesis then book genesis must be not from god, as you wrote, god knew.
If order genesis matches modern estimates using TECHNOLOGY but a primitive didn't HAVE devices! Book must be from god.

Creation has a sequence and timeline. G0d created the Scientific Method. As we become able to accommodate it, G0d reveals the truth to us and beliefs and science begin to converge. In the beginning, there was only light. The ascent of life SUMMARIZED in Genesis is true. GOd DID create EVERYTHING. But science only reveals what and when. Not WHY or HOW.
