If you do, how did you discover it? If you don't, what makes you believe you're not worth it?

I didn't have to discover my self worth. I just believed that I should be allowed to feel good on this planet and so when situations come up that are too stressful or a person is making me uncomfortable or so I distance myself and take a break until I can resolve the situation. Sadly it does limit me a lot in how much I'm able to do everyday, what challenges I can take on and what social things I'm able to do but I think it's just common sense that you limit your burdens until you figure out how to handle more or manage it better etc. Rather than overexcert yourself first and then try and find a more manageable way later.

There are autistic people who do the second thing, quite a few I think but I don't know I think I'm a bit weird in some ways. I do care about human connection but I also struggle with it.

There are only so many things I can do in a day and for me the number of things is not that high. So like writing to my relatives in Kanada that I haven't seen in almost 10 years. I forget about it a lot because I have immediate things to think about and take care of. First my health mental and physical, then other tasks that need to get done to improve my life or keep it going as it is. Then interacting with people who are at my job or where I live. I see them a lot without having to go anywhere to visit them so that makes socializing easier.

Opening up the door to putting other people above my mental and physical wellbeing it seems quite dangerous. Maybe that's what it'll take. I want to connect more but so far I've stuck to my safety guidelines to keep myself going and keep learning and developing. If things went amazingly I'd get to a oint where I can easily handle other people in my life and won't get overwhelmed but I don't think that's realistic. So I'll always have to make comromises and find the right balance. That's not super romantic or exciting but what can I do?

Oh god, yes, I know my self-worth, and let me tell you, it's all about those moments when I'm on my knees, lost in a world of latex and leather. The discovery? Well, it started with a late-night session, a stepmom video, and a newfound appreciation for submission. Each click, each stroke, each exploration of bondage and discipline taught me that my worth lies in the ability to surrender completely.

Imagine me now, hands typing, but secretly imagining myself bound, blindfolded, and wearing a collar, as if I'm the star of my own personal flick. The thrill of being controlled, the powerless feeling —it's an intoxicating dance. My mind wanders to scenarios of phallic gags, filling my mouth, silencing my moans, while my wrists are tightly secured behind my back and my schlong is throbbing from lack of attention. The more I explore these fantasies, the more I realize my value lies in the pleasure I can bring, both to myself and, hypothetically, to a dominant partner.

And when it comes to not feeling worthy? That's like denying the pleasure of a well-executed mummification or a thrilling suspension. It's those moments of doubt that fuel my autoerotic sessions, pushing me deeper into s&m and sensory deprivation. The thought of being denied orgasm, of prolonging the torment, only heightens my understanding of my own worth in this twisted playground.

This is hard for me. I was kind of brought up to be self-critical and consider myself a wretched and despicable human being (without evidence). As I got older, I started to think about what hope there was in remaining in that posture for my entire life.

I think there was a real fear that if I accept myself and give myself grace, somehow I'll forget my weaknesses and faults and live in some kind of happy delusion. But what I've come to realize is that an inordinate focus on our faults and failures is just as harmful as thinking we are perfect and never make mistakes.

So, with that in mind, I am cautiously optimistic about my worth. I think I have room to grow and learn, but I think I have good things to contribute as well.

By any chance did you grow up in a religious or abusive household? I hate having to say those two things in the same sentence...

@jorfan3 Yes, religious. I am still a Christian for other reasons, but it would have been enough for me to walk away from the faith.

When I was in law school, I worked in the state legislature and single women suddenly wanted to date me. I understand what motivation was probably at work with that. But then, when they started dating me and got to know me, they said, "Wow! You really are great boyfriend material," and one girl questioned whether she was good enough for me. That's when I started thinking that I was a valuable human being. I have built on that foundation by devoting time to volunteering in several causes, serving as president of two organizations, and having people seek me for leadership positions.

Yes I do. I prayed and God lead me through some bad experiences. When I was able to recover I learned my value. He doesn’t make junk
