Why should anyone care what islam has to say or believe?

well, there is an history and message in it for people of the culture where it came from.

When I read it in the Bible... Hagar... the mother of arab nation, I read some of the Koran, I got a sense of why this belief came out as it did. That helped me relate to understand the people better.

I dont' understand everything and I know few muslim people, but have been around a few.

there's a billion people plus being brainwashed into it... all beliefs have some brain washing. But in this case, there is no escape. It's like a roach motel.. you go in but if you try to leave, they kill you. If you say something bad about it, they kill you.

Remember Salmon Rushdie? yea... he's still on their death list.

You can bash Christians and Catholics and Buddhists and Hindus and their Gods.

That is a major difference and why you should care, and be conscious what you do and say and how you respond to such people.

For the same reasons people should care what Christianity has to say or believe. Or Buddhism, or Atheism. It can be the spiritual path someone needs. If you don’t like hearing about the religion inspired by Christianity in the homeland of Christ, maybe that’s something you need to work on for yourself.

You shouldn't Islam is definitely wrong Christianity is 100 percent correct. In the end only one will be right. They both can't be right. Difference between Christianity and every other religion in the world is the fact that in every other religion you die for your God and Christianity your God dies for you. In the gift of eternal life is freely given. Not by work but by faith and Grace because every man falls short when it comes to works. We've all broken The ten commandments and therefore are guilty in the eyes of God. God cannot be around sin or he'll break out on us. There's not one sin that's worse than another in the eyes of God they're all equal you break one you break them all. And since man can't live a perfect life and never sin God had to come down as a man and live that life for us for through one man's sin we fell (Adam) and through one man's obedience (Jesus) we were saved.

Just as in the west Christianity is the prevailing belief system Islam is the prevailing belief in the Middle East and Northern Africa. Most laws and customs come from Quran and as such it shapes policy and social structure.

That's because your religion is irrelevant. What I'm speaking of here, is the fact that many in Islam try to and often succeed in enforcing their religions beliefs on those who don't want that.
