Do you believe that intelligence and money can corrupt people if they do not believe in God?

Every non religious person in my family that is intelligent and rich has been corrupted by their income or money or inheritance. My parents were unbelievably cruel to me when I was a child because my dad tried to turn me into a money making machine by destroying my heart and social life and soul and morals so I would have no other purpose than to earn money, and my mother hated me for being born because she had to share her money with me after I was born so she abused me all my life.

No, believing in god doesn't prevent people from being corrupted by money, mega churches are a good, they use profit off the word of god. So the reality is, anyone weather they believe in god or not, can be corrupted by intelligence and money.

Not really, i know lots of religious people who are corrupted, and also lots of atheists who are moral people.
