The bible says it is impossible to worship money and status without plotting harm to innocent people.

I think a convicted criminal is less corrupt than somebody who worships money and status.

Now it’s okay to enjoy money and status. And it is okay to pursue money and status.

It’s just wrong to worship, fear, and revere money and status.

Money should be your servant and not your God.

Not necessarily... David and Solomon were rich kings, and money didn't corrupt them at all.. For the most part David one of the only good kings to the general Israelite population.. And so was Solomon..

They were corrupted by their lust for women ultimately.. But they were good and righteous with money.. Like you mentioned the love and worship of money is what corrupts people..

Even a person in poverty could have a love and worship for money to the point where they'll do anything for it.. Even before the money their hearts were already corrupted..

Money, and any currency, is a temporary tool that humanity lived without in the past, and will do away with at some point. If poverty and crime ceases to exist, so will the need for shekels.
