Not ruling it out, but usually it’s your own brain processing experiences and thoughts that day, or sometimes just something unexpected.
Moderation is the key, a bit of wine for example, to enjoy with a meal or friends is ok, just don’t go overboard. Unless by the other examples you mean really, really expensive wine.
Generally that is the wiser, more responsible approach, however you could be doing yourself a disservice by just denying yourself anything but the necessities, hone self control to indulge a little bit, a reward or something to look forward to while keeping it in moderation is surely the most responsible and capable long term. Though perhaps don’t start at the end of oysters, etc.
