11 moMany of those who have had near death experiences tend to say the same kinds of things. One of the things is that predeceased parents or family members come to your deathbed to escort you. Some have even gotten up from their hospital beads to follow them physically, and then they collapse on the floor and are found on the floor, deceased!
Another thing that seems to occur is that one reaches a kind of border or boundary, and the person somehow knows that once that border is crossed there is no going back. Some say it's a river (perhaps the River Styx of ancient Roman mythology). Others experience it as a hedge or border of some kind. Confederate General Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson, who had been acccidentally shot by his own men, was on his deathbed with fever. He had had the bullets surgically removed but the wounds became infected and there were no antibiotics back then. He was delirious, thinking he was commanding troops, ordering "Move that line up," and the like. But finally, his last words were, "Let us cross the river and rest in the shade of the trees!" Wow! He saw SOMETHING! That always spooked me. Steve Jobs' last words were, "Oh, wow! OH WOW!" He also obviously saw something!

OMG , wouldn't it be great to be so delusional to believe some of the bullshit written , sadly , I must report when you are dead , you are dead , it has literally nothing to do with whatever mythical being you may believe it , and sadly also for we Buddhists , there is no reincarnation.
However , purely for the sake of harmony , if there were a heaven , you would need a seriously good map , GPS would not work , you have no phone or device.
Far better to forget about this nonsense , and have a good time while you are here , and genuinely help others while you are above ground. As Kerry Packer put it ( first death around ) " I've been the other side and there ain't fcken anything there " .

I went through all of the opinions on here and not one of them are the way you get to heaven!
In order to get to heaven you must believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins so we aren't sinners anymore because he took the fall for us by dying on the cross.
Once you believe that Jesus died and next he was buried and rose again on the 3rd day and is coming back for us.
Ask him to come into your heart and be your personal savior.
The Bible clearly states that no one gets to the Father except through Jesus Christ.
So when you pray to God (and you can pray 🙏🏼 to Him from anywhere at all, you don't have to go to a church or anything like that) always end your prayer by saying "In Jesus name I pray".
If you have any questions I am more than happy to help you.
God loves YOU! 🙏🏼✝️00 Reply

11 moBeing not religious nor atheist, I think this to be a comical question. But, in all fairness, and in my upbringing of faith in christ nature, I will provide a serious answer. First things first. If you have "done all the religious stuff" then you would know it's physically impossible to get to heaven (provided you are talking about the religious place). Supposedly it's been attempted already. If you are a Christian then you believe the Bible to be truth. If you are Christian, or Jewish for the matter, then you will undoubtedly know the story of the Tower of Babel. The story says that at one time all of mankind were the same. Everyone could communicate with anyone. There was no language barrier or thought of being different from anyone else. Pure equality (wouldn't that be a perfect place to live?). Because of this, mankind became smart. In their smartness, they decided to build a tower. A tower to reach heaven. They knew that if they built the tower they could get to heaven and talk with God. They could ask him questions, tell him their thoughts, give him thanks for giving them all he had given them. However, God thought otherwise. This idea of them coming to his house angered him. So, he destroyed the tower. He also decided that man had become too smart for his own good and made them different. He confused them and gave them languages that only certain groups could understand each other. This is why we physically can't get to heaven.. 1. We aren't smart enough to understand. And 2. If we were able God would just smack us down. That is if you beLIEve in an anthropocentric entity that lives in a city of gold, but is still everything all at once and knows everything, gives us free will but punishes us for making mistakes. Not my cup of tea, but I got a lot of cream for yours.
00 ReplyIf there is a heaven, I think that someone (s) from your past who is dead will meet you. They are the ones who were most responsible for your life direction and the end result.
I had a near death experience and there was no fear. My father was there. He said (telepathically) he was there because he was most responsible. I took that to mean for how I ended up. It wasn’t a white light or demons. It was fine, not scary but not what I would have hoped for in the end. It felt like I missed the mark but was not going to hell if there even is such a place but also not to heaven.

11 moNo one can be good enough. You can’t get into Heaven with the good outweighing your bad. That’s not how it works. You have to believe in Jesus and accept Him as your Lord and Savior. When you stand before the Judgement, the Book of Life will be opened. If your name is not in the Book of Life, He will say, “Depart from Me, ye cursed into everlasting fire, prepared for the Devil and his angels.”
Revelation 20:15. “And whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the Lake of Fire.”
If your name is found in the Book of Life, you will be accept into Heaven and He will say, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant. Enter thou into the joy of Thine Lord.”31 Reply- 11 mo
So all the Buddhist, Hindu's, Muslims, et al are all going to hell?
11 moAccording to the Bible, the only way to get to heaven is through faith in Jesus Christ:
Accept Jesus' sacrifice: Believe that Jesus died on the cross to pay for your sins
Repent: Turn away from sin and let go of your past
Confess your faith: Say that Jesus is Lord and that God raised him from the dead
Humble yourself: Admit that you need a savior and can't earn your way to heaven
The Bible says that those who believe in Jesus are made the children of God. It also says that those who reject Christ are condemned.
The concept of heaven and how to get there is a matter of personal faith and beliefs. It's often associated with various religions and spiritual traditions.00 Reply
11 moUsing a map, obviously, per tradition. Which explains why taxi drivers and geography teachers were the first, historically, to reach Heaven. However, due to constant abuse of Global Positioning System, Heaven's last census, sadly, reports a shortage of chosen ones in the skies. In spite of the continuous efforts of Jehovah's Witnesses towards repopulating paradise.

The LOTR elf word for sunset/west is annún which is the same as Annwn, the old welsh heaven, which was in the far west often reached by boat. Annun was also the name of the son of the roman emperor Maximus who became king of south west wales in the 4th century.

I read of a case where a man's deceased father appeared to him in a dream and said to him, "There is nothing to fear. It is simply walking from one room into another." That's when he realized his time would soon be over, and he waited to see what it was. Soon thereafter he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, which took him.

I know I was just messing with her cause I like messing with her, the truth is that nobody knows and has no way of knowing on how it will happen, it's a level of spirituality that we are most likely incapable of comprehending, although walking through the gates is biblically accurate, the way the soul is transported is never mentioned and walking through the gates will be after judgement day, when and how that will happen isn't known, not like it really matters because weither it moves on its own or it's guided or taken or brought by angels or any other form of entity, it will go where it's destined to go, my guess is that the souls are collected by angels but I wouldn't be surprised if god designed souls to go where he wants by themselves, kinda like pouring water in a one way tube, that water will go where it can and if that can only leads to one place, there's nowhere else to go so that water will go to that place, I believe that place for our souls (our souls being the water) is wherever judgement day will take place, then from there we are individually judged and given a destination, although it would make more sense if angels just bring your soul there than it moving by itself but removingthe logic and common sense within our universe, the possibilities of how this happens can be limitless.

What do you think, Tony?
- 10 mo
@Caroline91 no one has ever gone physically to heaven, except a couple of people who were chosen by god but im general any person who believes in god and does his teachings will go to heaven after death, cause only the soul is able to enter the heaven, the physical body was created here and will remain here, it's just a vessel for the soul, once the soul leaves the body, than the body will stop functioning, our souls are beyond this realm and do not submit to the universe laws of physics...
That's why after death, you will be granted the eternal life, an eternal life doesn't have a timeline... - 10 mo
