My religious friend says the one who lives without love will be judged without love, thoughts?

I guess this makes sense just from my own experience which I think is shared by others, if somebody mistreats me but they are kind and considerate, I will excuse their sins if I feel they are genuine or I will only exact minor acts of anger towards them, but if somebody acts as if I have no value or worth at all and gives me way less respect than I deserve, I will curse them with the full degree of punishment that God merits out to those who do bad deeds, which might be over 20 times more severe than they would have received if they were kind and honest or at least polite and acceptable in word and courtesy and deeds.

I think it's a fair standard to judge people by how they judge others. It reminds me of the parable of the unforgiving debtor in Mathew 18. The man didn't forgive the person who owed him a small debt, so the king didn't forgive him of his big debt.

I don't think there is a judge who deals out punishments and rewards though. I think that we get what we put out. In this life and the next.
