Like Christians it's a mix of people, overall I believe there's things that contradict what I believe but I believe the Quran shares many of the same teachings as Christianity which is why I believe they separately worship the same God I do, since I believe in Christianity I believe their version is faulty just how I'm sure they believe the same about mine, I learned to respect them and their beliefs, like any religion they do have people that make their religion look bad and I can tell the difference between a claimer and a believer and follower of both religions.

It's some of the teachings I guess, it seems like its pretty gender based, in my religion it does speak of the man being made first and being made in the image of God but I think in some parts it kinda devalues women, like a man can marry outside the religion but a woman can't, a man can marry more than one woman but a woman can't, to me it makes more sense for love two be between two individuals and nothing else

Yes that's true but every rule has meaningful reason. Men can marry with non muslim woman but women can't. Because woman nature is soft and fragile. We can easily chance our mind we dont have enough strength like men. But they can chance the her mind and he can convice her to becomes muslim. Also on the other hand we need strong and fair men for protected by others. If he believes another religion he can slap and damage to his wife. In islam nobody fight with a gırl or woman. Or they can't act disrespectful. Lets move to another situation, men can marry 4 woman but we can't. Why? It's about history of Arabia and old time there was a many war. Because of all disagreements. Who will go to fight? Of course men. If mostly men will fight and die while in the war, how is women and men number can be equal? It can't. That's why Allah send a verse "And if you fear that you will not be just toward the orphan girls, then marry women of your choice, two, a third, or four; but if you fear that you will not be just, then only one or those your right hands possess. That is more suitable that you may not incur injustice." But, hey as you see God said if you afraid of being fair them you can marry with one gırl. And it's more propitious for you. So everything has a significance. And i have to remind you justice and equality aren't the same thing. They have huge difference

I guess maybe that's the difference, in my religion God gives you choice, he gives you guidance but loves you enough to give you the choice, the free will to even leave him if you want, which of course nobody should and they will still have a bad ending and burn in hell but that's cause the only way of salvation is with acceptance of the sacrifice that gave salvation, choosing to not believe it's throwing away his protection and the gift of salvation, it's not a rule book but more of a guidance, the Quran always gave me a rule book vibe.

Actually most of muslim reads Quran with exegetics, islamcı law and meaning book together. Because it's beneficial for if we read all of them together. You can think like Quran is password of life.
