Can you be arrogant and not know it?

I know somebody that loves to show off her achievements and I find her to be conversationally monopolizing and emotionally oppressive because she tries to glorify herself instead of God.

But I do not think there are many people outside religious society who know you must serve God’s honour and not your own pride and ego, private emotional validation or intellectual pomp.

I think arrogant people are often oblivious to their arrogance.

I think that's often how it goes. If you were to ask an arrogant person why they're arrogant, they'd likely deflect instead of entertaining or considering the idea that they could possibly seem arrogant to others.
