Human nature is truly twisted and super complex. It looks okay from afar mainly because people hide their true selves and so you catch glimpses of their inner darkness.
What makes it worse is their ego and pride keeps them from humility and vulnerability- which would actually be their saviour and help them grow out of that negative and ugly part of themselves. But it can be very hard to turn the looking glass inward and be honest with themselves. So ego and pride are defense mechanisms keep our world from reaching enlightenment.

Buuuuut I'm finding more and more people choosing the hard path and doing the work. So I have hope
