What do you think of these bible verses on preparation?

The book of Proverbs says the ant has no ruler or commander but it stores it's food during the summer and gathers it's food during the harvest.

And the book of Ecclesiastes says to prepare portions for 7 and yes for 8 because you do not know what disaster can come upon the land.

I believe you can learn more than one thing from each bible verse because the bible is meant to be a multi directional book that can guide you in different areas, and I will give you an example:

When it says to prepare for 7 and also for 8, it might be telling you to invest in your connections with other people so you can find support when you are in a situation of crises or need.

It might also mean to invest in more than one source of income or more than one job opportunity so if the industry you choose closes down, or the business you invest in fails, you have a back up plan that can guide you to new ventures.

That is two different interpretations from the same verse, and it could also mean to build more than one skill so if one job lineage gets destroyed you have an alternative job that you can do instead.

As for the verse about ants, it might mean, to be driven by your desire for survival and not your desire for publicity or reputation, because if you only operate when you get positive attention from others, you might not build up enough momentum in your career to help you survive the competitions and robberies that the economy brings each year.
