Is our reality just a simulation?

People who were clinically deceased but came back can remember often seeing themselves in third person while they died. Their experience is often the same and they felt like this reality isn't real but afterlife is their real life. Bright light or unpleasant feeling in moment of death might be reaction to lack of oxygen in brain but rendering of entire life and seeing their bodies from outside isn't a sign decaying brain activity, since such functions need lot of metabolism. By the way I experienced seeing the entire life before death in moment I my ex was too fast in a curve and I flow at least 30m in air. Fortunately I have bones made of titanium and wore a leather suit that saved my life. Maybe is this rendering of entire life just some backup upload?

What if our reality is just an technically advanced MMO, a training or a preparation for existence in another reality? Our ego in another reality remembers our existences in this simulated reality but our current ego an player char doesn't have a clue? Doesn't it degrade belief in some omnipotent being to a BS?

I think in order for it to be considered a simulation there has to be something to compare it too that makes it a simulation considering a simulation is a technological copy of a reality, so I dont think we live in a simulation, although we do live in a creation, like simulated people live in a creation made by humans, we live in a creation made by another mind, although I think that's the only similarity we have to simulations, I dont believe we are computers, the technology we are made of is biological, it's a biological design and thats the technology we are made of if we were to compare creations, we use technology cause we are inside the creation of another mind, personally I believe in God so these afterlife experiences i don't believe are glitches or whatnot but if we were to talk about simulations, I don't think we are a simulation of anything, we are the reality but we are within a creation that gives off a similar idea, cause realistically speaking, the fact that there's an afterlife should be a clear sign that what we currently live is reality and not a simulation, if we were then dying would be the end and you wouldn't see an afterlife in general.

One can also argue that the afterlife can be still another part of the simulation that it was created by our creator when we die in the "simulation" which could be true if god wasn't there with us, in my religion when we die and go to heaven, we will be in heaven with God, since this is what I personally believe then I don't believe in simulations, I'll die and my soul will transfer to the afterlife where my creator is, if there's an after life then there's a soul, if there's a soul then you are in a reality considering that as humans we can't bring the souls of our technologically created simulations to our reality, the closest to that would be programming an AI with the personality of your sim person but it's not the exact same consciousness, ours is and will be

While I do not really buy into the afterlife bits, this does remind me of a incredibly interesting advancement in science last year. Seriously, hear me out!

2024. A company named Finalsparks announces that they will be renting out organoids, biocomputers, to universities. These seem to excel at AI tasks - primarily because they are even in their early stage of development outstandingly energy efficient.

So what are organoids, you might wonder? Human brains in a tank! Or more accurately, cloned human brain cells. Structured to imitate a server these braincells, no different from what we use to think, are able to act as highly efficient servers. They are also able to simulate tasks and so on. It has also been confirmed that we can feed these braincells information to make them 'believe' (act as) a butterfly or alike.

What am I getting at? Matrix became real last year. Human brains are an energy efficient solution to processing power. So where is the catch? Well, maintenance!

How do we maintain a human brain? By engaging it or course! How would one do that? Well one way is certainly a Matrix like simulation.

It is a bit funny. A bit questionable. A fast advancing reality. We are already living the matrix, so who is to say we are not the braincells keeping a server going? The busier your server the less stimulation, downtime, you get!

Anyway. Just as a final note. We have been cloning human cells to deal with all kinds of problems, injuries and diseases. It isn't even new to clone braincells. But our use as, if not quite Matrix batteries, dataservers? That is a 2020s innovation. Cool, isn't it? If scary.

It's possible. It's also possible we are living in a two deminisional universe when observed from the outside, and the parallel universes are slices stacked on each other.

No. Quite the opposite. Finite life is the "game" and the quantum afterlife is the "real" life.
