Do you believe there is real evidence that we are living in a simulation?

No.
Though I do have evidence for why we feel there is.
1 - Scripts for screenplays. You create fictional or non fiction characters and make them do, say, act the way you as the screenwriter envision. Once the play is performed, it brings a world to life like God himself envisioned for us.
2 - Coding. Just like the genetic code that binds us, the basic building blocks of life, and the weather cycle / nature we create worlds that we breathe life into for video games. Video games that simulate the reality we live and currently reside in. Therefore as hardware becomes more realistic, the more the possibility we are living in a digital world on an advance super computer enters into the mainstream.
That is how I view it, I’m not going to debunk or say the feeling is invalid though this is to put a perspective on it. Thank you.
The whole thought experiment is based on statistics that create a mathematical certainty, but when we are only living and dealing with one reality, statistics are not affirmative. Scoring only one point against the best professional sports player does not put you in the Hall of Fame.
The fact that a real world has to create a simulation creates a chance that we are the first to create that loop. Without any other evidence, that is the most logical place to start, until proven otherwise.
There's videos of celebs out there having supposed glitches and then there's the concept of deja vu like in the Matrix which could be another glitch that points to this life being a simulation but I think it's really just a cool concept and not real. I believe this is the real world and we just have some weird shit going on sometimes that just seems unbelievable at times but not a simulation.
@Simslover92
Correct, there is no real evidence that we are all living in a simulation.
Given the huge amount of suffering in the world I'd ask who'd want to programme that in. I can't believe anyone intelligent enough to create a virtual universe would be so callous as to include pain and suffering, so no.
Luckily the suffering is also a simulation.
Let's try an experiment. Pop your knob into a pan of boiling water and tell yourself its just a stimulation
I'm sure some disciplined monks who walk on coals can keep their cocks in boiling water without blinking.
@purplepoppy you want to know who creates pain and suffering? Look in the mirror next time you vote for a democrat.
The world would be a nicer place if people like you didn't make everything about politics.
@purplepoppy as some ancient Gnostics or ancient religious sects felt, "there must be an evil god, or one good god one evil god" lol to explain "the cause of evil"
@purplepoppy without science, that was their logic to think "well the evil must've come from somewhere, who else, the fairies" it's an old saying similarly about who else did it the fairies sarcasm

What's the difference between the real world and the simulated world?
If it is a simulation, then in theory, You can find an exploit from within the simulation to bend the rules to Your advantage. If it is cold hard reality, the most important rules are unbreakable.
The real world teaches you how to exit the matrix https://www.jointherealworld.com/
@CalmUntilAbused
That is right. However, it seems you are really impressed with the Matrix movies and it concept (from the way you say it)
@serious @serious Well... It's probably one of two Hollywood-related franchises I got really invested in at some point, with the other being the "Fast&Furious" franchise (due to the "family over all else" trope) and one of three Hollywood-related franchises I came to respect to some extent (with the third one being the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise, due to my respect to the star of the franchise, Captain Johnny Depp, a respect I found for Him when He battled and won against the lead ship of the Amber Heard-class life destroyers).
Basically, I would say the idea of freedom from government/shady masterminds' control is one of the main aspects of my dream life. I am a man, and thus as long as I have full control over my life, I feel like I can achieve virtually anything. I am fine with lower comfort in life in the name of freedom. That being said, it's not like I am not capable of surviving in the cold, hard reality - first and foremost, the civilization, or rather culture, is basically a simulation anyway. The laws of physics, chemistry and biology might be set in stone, but any man-made laws can actually be bent to one's heart content, as long as one knows how to do that. I mean, if need be, under a potential suffocating, woke government, men might start "identifying" as "transgender lesbians" in order to legally void all the government- and media-inspired discrimination of men.
In our macroscopic world it will be difficult to find evidences for or against theory we are living in a simulation. In world of quantum mechanic there are some phenomena like particle spin link or existence of one particle in two places at the same time. Those phenomena could be technique to reduce rendering load of our reality, like mip mapping or tessellation lod levels in GPU. Of course those phenomena could be something else like parallel universes, some weird supersymmetry or string thing. I think 'this universe as simulation' theory should be considered as possible explanation for some weird thing in quanten world.
The intuitive answer is based in the question: What do those who populate YOUR daydreams BELIEVE of THEIR 'reality'? And...

''man' gathers, rearranges, assembles, but only 'God' CAN 'create' borne of pure imaginative THOUGHT. "FIAT LUX!" let there BE light.
Philosophically, we are ALL figments of the Divinity's imagination's simulation. The Baltimore Catechism posits: "What would happen if God stopped loving me?
Ans. "I would CEASE TO BE"
I recently played a VR-game on the oculus quest-3 console and it blew my fucking mind away how far technologie has come with gaming. I played only for 30 minutes straight but when I stopped playing I really needed some time to get my senses back to normal. It was so realistic that when I stopped playing I noticed that I was still picking up stuff like I did in the game. It totally fucked my senses.
I have no doubt that it's possible that we could be living in a advanced VR simulation considering that technology in past civilizations was far more advanced the now
@coachTanthony I know that your real name is NEO, and it is known that you associate with one of the most dangerous men on the planet.
However, we can wipe the slate clean... if you tell us the where about's of a man that calls himself Morpheus!
@coachTanthony the purpose of it seems more to highlight "conspiracy theories that "elites" or "puppet masters" or even "registered lobbyists / rich people etc" worldwide loosely network to loosely control the world. 😆 Like an imagery metaphor "it's all just a simulation" clouds ☁️☁️☁️
@coachTanthony so realistically no there's no comp simulation
Come on!. Matrix like movies can never be real. Although yes the concept of AI is scary though.
As for your evidence of being in a simulation like Matrix, I think that is totally false. Otherwise we all would have experience typical Matrix movie like scenarios in our life which never happens. Hence my answer is No.
I think the best evidence for it is purely mathematical.
In other words, statistics. If you have a real universe, would someone in that real universe eventually develop a simulated universe? If so, how many simulated worlds would each real world produce? If there are more simulated worlds than real worlds, then statistically you are more likely to live in a simulated world as opposed to a real world.
Only thing for me is when I'm driving I pull up to a junction the road was dead but suddenly there is traffic there that stops me pulling out as if I've just triggered a spawn point.
Anything is possible & it’s also possible that our brains have been preprogrammed.
I think the best evidence that we are living in a simulation is the Democrat party. How else could they possibly be so hallucinogenic?
No. Elon Musk predicted AI would take over most of our jobs in year 2024. Did it happen?
No but it’s not far away
I notice Elon is not so good at the prophecy thing.
it has to be as I been having a tough time disagreeing with The Matrix. the more I watch that movie the more sense it makes to me.
also have you ever seen a TV, cellphone or computer in your dreams?
No credible evidence, just speculation and conspiracies.
If this is a simulation then I want the list of console commands cause this is some shit.
bro who the fuck has been controlling my family
they suck at the sims
Yes because everything feels really confusing to me a lot. It bothers me
Anybody that would be smart enough to make a simulation of a civilization would be smart enough to do a better job.
It seems that technology is expanding, not leveling off. AI could be part of the control program. Was that two black cats or one?
No! I question that if it’s a simulation then who is watching it and who would invest that much time in it? Are they in a simulation too? It all gets complicated when you think like this
It's funny I use to think that when I was really young, But since then I have seen some pretty real things which lead me to believe that it couldn't possibly be that elaborate.
So I think we are not.
But I think that is even scarier.
No, that is crazy.
Das ist ganz verrückt.
Let me check...
...💥
Where am I? Seems I've just been rebooted.
I get the feeling that we are not in a simulation, but rather acting out a scenario written by the people who run the world. We are pawns, puppets, and the system has already been set up by those who control the world.
I don't know. There's enough to fool some people but not I.
No, not in any sense that we understand it.
If this is a simulation then most of you are NPCs.. which explains a lot to be honest.
I believe scientologists are working together carefully watching us.
I'd say the double slit experiment is close.
No, I don't think so. But maybe there is something we can't observe.
If so why the misery for some?
It is real enough in any case not to matter. I'm not apt to ponder the sound of one hand clapping.
I don''t think so, but I believe that there is an afterlife. Where when we get there, we will be more alive than we are now.
I'm 43 years old. I had a very extensive social life. I can honestly say I've met only 7 distinct people. Real life is even worse than a video game. Everyone is an NPC.
It's possible, evidence might be those that appear to see the future.
Yes I believe gifted people work intricately to affect our worlds.
I don't know why we try and find the answers to life. Let it come to you. Live your life!
escape the matrix ah post
Nah, and to recap, nah
No. Occam's razor & Murphy's law.
No matter what we are trapped
I don't think so
I think. Therefore, I am.
Not really
You are overthinking
Not really
Not particularly
A dumb conclusion
Not at all.
