What do you think about "regretful atheists"?

Do you know any? Or are you one yourself?

I've heard on some podcasts recently the host or guest say that they are atheists but "regrettably so", that they wished they believed in God, and other such sentiments. However, they still say that they're "pro-Christianity" and that they want more people going to church, appreciate the sense of community, the culture, the heritage and traditions, the holidays, and so forth.

What do you think of this?

This is hardly a thing. Most atheists were raised in some religion, but then decided that there is no evidence to support it -- God is as real as Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy. Almost all my friends are atheists and none of them have any regrets, except the time they wasted on religion.

I'm a devout atheist and I have no regrets whatsoever.

I'm not going to say that there are no positives that come out of Christianity or any other religion. But that doesn't make me want to be a Christian. I'm also not going to say there are no negatives that come out of Christianity. Neither one has anything to do with whether or not I'm an atheist.

I have personally never heard an atheist say they regretted it.

LOL. You think a YouTube video is evidence? There are far more deconversions of Christians and other believers than there are conversions of atheists. This is clear from the increasing number of "
"nones" in the United States and elsewhere. Most atheists were raised in some religion and concluded that it was just make-believe. Since there's no new evidence, they won't change their mind.

@slatyb We're did I say the video was evidence. Damn you're retarded. We're talking about atheists here shit for brains. David Wood was an atheist. After he investigated the evidence he realized there was far too much to ignore and as a result he accepted Christianity. Not only that he went on to get a Ph. D because he took his study of the topic that seriously.
