Depends which version.
Going by your posts, I doubt you even knew how to spell "Adam and Eve" without looking up the spelling first - let alone what happened.

If they weren't supposed to eat the fruit why didn't god just make the tree higher? Why was it even in the garden in the first place. Basically it's teaching us that God will abandon us over an apple.

I find the majority of the Bible to be complete crap, yes, including the story of Adam & Eve.
They are Aesop's fables for religious people.

100% of the Bible is rubbish. In fact I'd go so far as to say the only thing stupider than the contents of the Bible are the contents of the Quran.
