I don’t do confession cause I’m not Catholic and it’s not part of my religious practice. I think Catholic culture is beautiful, but I do not worship Mary as a second God so I can’t become totally Catholic. But I do read Catholic bible books which are excluded from the protestant canon.

  @Maskx protestants believe Mary is a virtuous surrogate mother, but not a divine supernatural being that you pray to, bow before and worship. Just like I admire Gandhi and Anne Frank, but I do not pray to them as if they are Gods.

Not since I was about 14.
I was raised Catholic and attended a Catholic elementary school from 1st through 8th grades. I was even an altar boy when I was young.

I liked the Catholic school. But after 8th grade, I lost interest in attending mass. And after studying the subject of religion and spirituality for years, I became non-religious.
