Do you have any theories on the parable of the wineskins by Jesus?

I thought it might mean that an unchanged person cannot train a changed person and an unchanged person cannot teach a changed person new lessons.

One point I'm trying to drive here is, I've met people who want to become religious but they try to do it without giving up their old sinful lifestyle or previous idolatrous value systems.

They end up living a lifestyle that is only relevant to themselves, because the bible says you must abandon your old idolatrous value system, and your old sins, before you can become a community minded person who is willing to share, include, and learn from others.
