Do you think Jesus Christ would recognize the modern-day Church as the same Church He loved during His time on Earth?

I'm not expert (I'm athiest, in fact), but if my history is accurate, then Christian church wasn't even established until after Jesus's death, so I highly doubt he'd recognize something that didn't exist during his life.
Jesus, himself, was Jewish, though, so it's possible he may recognize certain aspects of that faith, although I'm sure many things have changed since his time. I've no doubt some texts have been mistranslated and/misinterpereted, so there be more differences than we're aware of.
Of course there are also many people who identify as Christian and/or Jewish that would probably make him sick to his stomach, too, since they are nothing at all like he preached.
If you look at the ones with hierarchy, Anglican orthodox or catholic etc., it is too different to be recognizable like a guy under a mask.
He would ask "i thought you all played simon said"?

No, because in Christ’s time there were no churches…. Only temples. The first church happened AFTER the crucifixion.
Jesus knows everything. I saw a thing this morning that stated only 2% of the churches followed doctrine precisely. 2%. 70% worked at it though. Jesus is pulling fir the 70.
I think he'd recognize it. Doesn't mean who wouldn't have a lot of criticisms.
More so than many people might think.
