Christ was arguably the most left person for his time. Since then, times have changed.

Christ was arguably the most left person for his time. Since then, times have changed.

I think he would agree with much of their agenda…. safety nets for the poor, equality for minorities, redistribution of wealth, compassion for immigrants, challenging the establishment. Where trouble would likely arise would be gay marriage and homosexuality in general.
he would agree with us.
Jesus would love you. He wouldn't love performative activism.
Romans 16:17-18 ESV
"I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive."

Based on a literal interpretations of the Bible, here some potential areas of tension between Jesus' teachings and some positions typically associated with left- and right-wing politics. Remember that political ideologies vary widely and these generalisations may not apply to all individuals who identify as left- or right-wing.
Left-wing Politics:
Secularism: Many left-wing ideologies promote secularism and the separation of church and state. Christians, while respecting secular authorities, believe that God's laws are above man's laws. They may disapprove of the downplaying or removal of religion in public life.
Social Liberalism: Some social liberal stances on issues like abortion, LGBT+ rights, and gender identity might clash with the conservative social values of Christians, who tend to hold traditional views on family structure, sexuality, and the sanctity of life.
Religious Pluralism: Left-wing ideologies often promote religious pluralism and interfaith cooperation. Christians, however, believe their interpretation of Christianity is the correct one and don't participate in interfaith activities.
Right-wing Politics:
Militarism/Nationalism: Right-wing politics often emphasise strong national defense and patriotism. Christians should be known for their neutrality regarding warfare and national issues. They shouldn't salute flags, serve in the military, or participate in nationalistic ceremonies, as citizens of the king of God.
Capitalism and Wealth Inequality: The right often supports laissez-faire economics and may not prioritise efforts to reduce wealth inequality. Christians might find this in contrast with Jesus' teachings about the dangers of wealth and the importance of helping the poor.
Environment: While not universally true, some right-leaning individuals downplay environmental concerns. Christians believe in stewardship of the Earth, as it's God's creation, and may disapprove of policies that harm the environment.
All you're really doing is asking this question: Are you liberal (left-wing) or conservative (right-wing)?
Because everyone thinks God and Jesus agree with them. That's one of the main appeals of "God".
https://www.youtube.com/embed/u1xrNaTO1bIPretty much no one thinks that God has the opposite values that they do.
So it's not surprising on this website where the majority is conservative, that the majority think that Jesus disagrees with liberals.
He made friends with the "white imperalists" in his day, the Greek Woman in Tyre and the Roman Centurion as well as the Jewish publicans who were businessmen that collaborated with "the colonists." On the other hand he opposed both the Sadducees who were prosperity theologians and the Pharisees who were essentially liberation theologians calling for the overthrow of Rome and the education of Jewish people in their own culture away from the theater and arena culture of Rome (like liberation theologians who want to overthrow the US government and think aspects of western culture such as sports matches are distracting the people). Prosperity Preaching and Liberation Theology are both very popular in POC churches.
Jesus wouldn't agree with today's left at all, but he sure as hell wouldn't be in agreement with the right either. Especially because many conservatives are claiming Christianity but having some of the most ungodly attitudes and thinking in our culture.
I think he would would consider them bullies that either didn't hear his message or misunderstood it. You can't bully people into doing what you consider to be the right thing. I always liked this meme that has Jesus giving a sermon and asking his followers to give to those who are in need. And one of his followers stands up and says, "Teacher how bout if we just give a portion of our income to an entity and then that entity in turn can tend to those who are in need". And Jesus responds, "OK, I'm going to start again and you let me know where I lost you".🤣
He was Jesus Christ.
He wasn't stupid.
I can envision him having everyone in the world sitting on The Mount, teaching us The Way.
I have an opinion of which group would need the most tutoring after class, mainly because they weren't paying attention, as if it didn't apply to them.
The left.
The "left" includes a wide range of people and policies. I think Jesus would agree with a lot of them, but not all.
The world is a very different place form Jesus's time, so there are a lot of issues where its not clear what opinion he would have. Freedom of speech, equal opportunity, healthcare, were not really relevant in the Roman world
remember jesus said not to hate? nor anger? nor condemn? but the left is mostly, " angry at anybody who talks and thinks different." in fact all the name calling such as "racist and phobe" is "harsh and hate condemning" that jesus forbade, so left is far from obeying jesus and certainly not even claiming to obey jesus. lets see the left stop hating...
You have to be kidding me! LOL He would SCORTCH the Conservatives as they are! Sure, he'd have a few choice words for the left as well, but not like for the evangelicals, and the "holy members of the Church" who lead the PLANET in sexual assaults of children and women. No brainer.
If you mean the extreme left radical Woke Hollywood media left (I suspect you do) he would berate them for their lack of humility, their hypocrisy and for judging their fellow man.
He would reserve his real condemnation for the Christian Right who have taken his name in vain and abandoned his teachings.
The lord Jesus Christ doesn't follow men ideology nor philosophy.
The lord Jesus Christ is the word of God and His beliefs system is the word of God and nothing else.
The left or right of the political system of this world is all corrupt and doesn't align with the word of God.
Conservatives and liberals and everyone in between are all sinners on their way to hell unless they put their faith in the saving grace of the lord Jesus Christ.
Probably the same as the Right. Modern society is so wildly different and confusing compared to the time he grew up in, he'd probably think the left and the right were equally bizarre and confusing.
I think he’d be ashamed of the amount of hate everyone’s spreading. I mean, he made no mistakes in making us and who we are right? He gave us free will no? So the fact churches are trying to push hate upon others because of who they love and how they choose to identify just defies everything he stood for.
you started so good until you claimed churches teach "hate sinners" that is believing false propaganda. but the opposite jesus did not hate sinners, instead he did teach which actions were sin.
jesus would not say "male pair is not a sin" and also be called a homophobe.
he wouldn't support minor transgender surgery or abortion. wouldn't support the breakdown of the nuclear family unit either
very plausible.
He’d be too busy sucking so much dick to care
But Jesus didn't suck dicks
There are no biblical or extrabiblical references to Christ sucking dicks or referring to his dick sucking skills.
You are lying
The fictional character who was accepting towards everyone? He would probably be called a commie by conservatives and crucified.

Weak trolling.
He would agree on some things and disagree on some other things. He would tell them what he disagreed with out of love.
For those who stay here would disagree, in what points?
ah yes because Jesus would totally be favor of life-changing surgery on minors, killing babies who crime was "daring to exist" and watch men, women and children despise each other instead of uniting together
oh by the way it's the other way around. Democrats have higher divorce rates than Republicans.
@inhua
www.usnews.com/.../states-with-the-highest-divorce-rates
Here are the states with the highest divorce rates in 2019:
State DIVORCED WOMEN PER 1,000 MARRIED INDIVIDUALS
Arkansas 10.70%
Oklahoma 10.40%
Nevada 10.20%
New Mexico 10.20%
Kentucky 10.10%
Wyoming 10%
Delaware 9.40%
Utah 9.40%
Kansas 9.20%
Alabama 9.10%
whom the state voted for as a whole has no bearing on the divorced individuals from whom they voted for. the divorcees in these Republican states could very well have voted for Democrat
a lot of these states also have higher marriage rates thus they will have higher divorce rates than states where marriage barely occurs
He would love them like any other (like Matthew) and bring them into the Kingdom.
He would think
"did i die for these shytty people. I wanna take the whole crucifiction Thing back"
It would be a mixed bag. Some He would agree with, others not. There will be plenty to answer for all of us.
He would tell them that they are why he has returned.
As a jew, especially on the left, i could care less about what he thinks. GET THE FUCK OVER IT, RIGHTIST
I never knew you, Depart from me, worker of iniquity
what lol
he doesn't care for politicas
He would have left long ago.
What would Santa Claus think of them?
Shake his head.
