How can I be a happy atheist?

Why? Are you a sad atheist now? What does your happiness or sadness have to do with not believing in magic invisible sky fairies? Do you think believing in the lies of a religion will make you happy somehow?

Since my childhood, I was raised in a very religious environment. Ever since I became an atheist, everything feels meaningless. I feel lonely and without purpose. Religion used to give me peace and joy. Now, I'm looking for another place where I can find that same peace.

To be fair, an atheists can feel happy when doing stuff you enjoy, and by setting goals, big yet manageable, then when accomplished, feel happy... but those are not feelings of blissful-ness.

Hope and bliss is caused by faiths.

The same way you can be a happy person. A surprising amount has to do with your perspective and if you consciously choose to see the good or bad things about the world.

Of course, you can i probably would have still been an atheist if it wasn't for my near death experience but a lot of it has to do with me not taking care of my health. Don't focus on religion instead focus on building wealth without sacrificing your health and enjoy your life and don't forget to reward yourself from time to time because you can't take your wealth into the grave.

I am at a point in my life where I have everything that I need and a little bit more, and I really appreciate it. I am content.

Atheism is a religion. Any label of this kind is a religious label. Because no human is omniscient, no human can know the full truth of how we came to be, and so any labels, including the label of "atheist" is based on faith.
