What do you think of the bible saying that God worries about your reputation even if you do not worry about your own reputation anymore?

I find I do not reject bad people as friends, bad people reject me as friends, either they are jealous or bitter or resentful or feel dumb around me. I do not care about my social status and my boyfriend is super high status and the relationship was his idea. I was not interested for the longest time, not because there was anything wrong with him, I just did not trust that easily after meeting so many fake people who pretend to love God, and I needed crazy amounts of evidence he was real about who he was.

I don't think God really cares about our social status, as he himself came down and basically had no social status until he started his ministry, and it was only for his ministry.. And that's where I believe he cares about our reputation, when it comes to the ability to win souls..
