What do you think of this term I invented at a bible study 20 years ago, which is called "disaffected desire..."?

What I mean is, God might give you something that you ask Him to give you, but give it to you in a way that is different from what you asked of him.

One example is, you ask God for a guy with a PhD and he gives you a guy with a PhD but the guy lives in another country and you will have to relocate to be with him.

Or you ask God to give you a loving and virtuous person and he gives you a loving and virtuous person, but the person is very poor and cannot share the lifestyle your rich ex boyfriends shared with you.

Or you ask God to give you money and he gives you a very high paying job, but the job does not start until 3 months from now and you wanted the extra money next week cause it is your birthday in 3 days etc...

Do you agree with me or do you think that the think that if God gives you something it is always 100% better than your choice, in every way and not only in some ways and not others etc...
