"Mother nature" is rhetoric that anthromorphizes the natural world. the natural world has no "will", no "goal". no "purpose". we have. so we're just assuming. but there's of course mechanistic principles. like if you're gonna cut the branch you're sitting on, you're gonna fall. so if you're for example increase the co2 levels to absurd levels or destroy the ozone layer, the planet is gonna be to hot for you personally to live. but nature is gonna adapt. some species are gonna go extinct and new ones will appear. that's how things always happen. nature doesn't have any capacity to care cause nature is not an entity with feelings. it's just a human concept of everything around them. nature doesn't have a mind to feel emotions or have preferences with.
