What if God is sabotaging my goals to protect me?

I did not date until 2018 and I believe the only reason God let me date my 2018 boyfriend is because God wanted me to reject the predators that tried to date me by making sure I was taken when the predators approached me.

God told me in a dream he would sabotage my opportunities to date bad men because God wanted me to date a guy who respects His teachings and principles. I never had a boyfriend before 2018 because God sabotaged every chance I ever had.

Now I wonder if God is trying to sabotage my self made money so I will not attract bad friends or stalkers who want to use me for income.

Personally I think God is a metaphor for the forces of the universe rather than a thinking calculating being. The universe might "interfere" in a way. It operates on rules and if your goals are unrealistic, or you lack resources , you just haven't had enough luck or a billion other things then you might not reach them. I would look at that for answers.
