Do you think God did this to protect me?

At one church I visited, there were around 60 or 80 bible study members and I was respected and liked by basically all of them and got many invitations to hang out and requests for my contact information when I went. I had two very popular people invite me to hang out over 8 times in a row.

At a separate church that I went there, there was around 30 members and I was hated by almost all of them - no matter how nice I was or how much I sacrificed or gave, they never accepted me - because I kept talking about the miracles God had done for me and the times I was persecuted and they thought I lied cause my stories were so uncommon and I had an endless supply of uncommon stories to share.

Looking back, I think maybe God was trying to remove me from the second church because some members of that church were dangerous psychopaths and might try to harm me if I got close to them.

I believe God was protecting you. I visited many Churches and the only one I felt comfortable with was the First Baptist Church. I visited this Full Gospel Assembly
and people would yell out, and dance in the aisles of the Church when in the end it was
time to go down to introduce myself and talk to them and have sweets n coffee this one little person was rude and said, that we had to allow the members of that Church to go first so I felt kind of down and I never went to visit that Church no more.

You need to know it and use it. Sounds like you are doing so.
Just like people contrary to Jesus hated him and he said we would be hated just like him. People who are not spiritual will hate those who are.
Just because it was a church makes no difference. 2Cor 4:4 , 11:14-15
