Do you believe in generational curses?

Today I learned why I had so many generational curses and bad luck when I was a child, having multiple medical problems that put my life in danger, and meeting multiple predators who targeted me for appearing weak.

Apparently, my grandmother's parents were loan sharks who took advantage of poor people in crises by robbing them of their bond payments when they defaulted on loans.

That would explain why I had a stalker who tried to sell me into human trafficking when I was 18 years old and 120 pounds.

And why I had a con man harass my parents with spam calls 13 times a day, after I rejected him in a humiliating way.

Nah, we're not to blame for the sins of our ancestors and any god that punishes us for them is not worthy of our devotion. Pretty much every wealthy family today has a dodgy ancestor who created the family money in a less than honourable way.
