Is it wrong to depend on a pastor or religious mentor for your feedback and advice?

I've been watching videos online by a pastor I found recently, and today is the first day since finding their channel that they have not posted a new video, and I realize, I've been looking for their videos, instead of doing what I did in the past, which was try to learn God's will on my own, without help from third party sources like pastors, preachers, philosophers, scientists, or YouTube doctors etc...

Is it wrong to depend on a pastor or religious mentor for your feedback and advice?
