Has God ever saved your life? Part 2?

When I was 16 years old, a stranger called my house by looking me up in the phone book, and asked me my gender, my age, my height, my weight, my race, and who lived with me. I was very naive and talked with them for at least 20 minutes.

Later somebody tried to break into our home at night through our garage door, but our garage door was not connected to our home, so they failed to break into our house after going through our garage door, and they did not steal our car, so they were interested in human trafficking and murder, not in selling cars for money.

My mom told me that 3 months before they broke into our garage door, she had multiple dreams about people breaking into our home through the garage door and attacking our family.

I think maybe the people who built our home had prophetic knowledge that somebody would try to break into our home our night through our garage door, which is why when they built our garage door, they did not attach a door to our house through our garage door.

Or maybe this happened to other homes in the past and they were trying to protect our safety by building all their homes like this where there was no connection between the garage door and the rest of the home.

I didn't realize it at the time, but God saved my life in March of 2024 when I was twice resuscitated from cardiac arrest as a result of my experiencing a widow maker heart attack.
At the time, I considered my resuscitations to be the evil doings of selfish, self-congratulatory medical personnel, priding themselves on bringing dead people unjustly back to life.

The process of being twice resuscitated was absolutely horrifying, terribly lonely, and unbelievably painful, making the pain of the actual severe heart attack pale in comparison.

While I was gone, I was completely unaware of anything, no inviting light, no seeing of departed loved ones, nothing.
Upon my return, I feared that I had been cast out, into darkness, that God had found me, if not deserving of hell, certainly not deserving of a heavenly paradise, either.
I had the notion that my disembodied spirit had possibly become entangled with other disembodied spirits, even with those of demons, and that I had returned no longer being fully me.

For a year and a half afterwards, I was terrified and extremely angry that I'd been brought back to life.
I felt that my rightful death had been denied me, which is a very common sentiment among the majority of SCARs (Sudden Cardiac Arrest Resuscitatees).

A few weeks after my cardiac arrests, my wife was diagnosed with incurable brain cancer.

Life had thrown us some heavy-duty burdens.
I was not handling them at all well.

Fast forward to late June of 2025, when I was once again in the hospital due to chest pain.
No heart attack this time, though.
It was likely anxiety from the severe PTSD that I'd been experiencing since my fun little journeys of the previous year.

All of a sudden, like bolts of lightning, I began experiencing unbelievably huge amounts of love coming towards me from nurses, orderlies, food service workers, almost everyone.

For a few days, I wondered in amazement at how all this love had happened to start coming towards me.
Then, the scales fell from my eyes.
I finally realized that God's love had been around me for my entire life, but I'd been unable to recognize it.
When God's love then began to flow through and back out of me to others, I absolutely knew that that love was divine.

For all of my life up until then, I'd been what I call "agonizingly agnostic", desperately wanting to believe, but always thinking that I was falling just short of being able to do so.

What I now believe was actually the case, is that God had bestowed upon me, during most of my life, just enough faith in order for me to learn to continue to struggle, and to continue to seek Him, in preparation for what is now facing my family, with my wife's terminal brain cancer, my own failing health, as well as having to deal with more very traumatic situations.
When my eyes were fully opened in June of this year, it was if The Holy Spirit within me had announced, "IT'S SHOWTIME".
My purpose in life has been revealed to me; to care for my wife as best I can, and I've been given the strength to keep putting one foot in front of the other.

Previous to my "awakening", I had been spiritually destitute, wishing that my heart attack of the previous year had done me in.

That was not God's plan.

Now, I see miracles, some very large, some smaller, occurring before me every single day.

Yes, God saved my life.

Looking back on my life, I now also believe that returning me from cardiac arrest was by far not the first time that God had intervened in my departure from this Earth.
There'd been numerous times that I'd previously come very close to death by various means.

Praise God!

God? No. One of the Angels? Yes, a few times.

I do not know if was God but it was sure something that saved me.
